On God's Mercy

I asked God
Where are you?
Where is your mercy?
Why has thou forsaken me?



 He answered
"I am in the kiss of the wind,
In the birds song,
In the sun that caresses your face.
My mercy is in your
awakening To a new dawn,
It is in your heartbeat,
In the smile of your child.

I have not forsaken you
For my angels surround you,
I am your refuge,
I am your strength.
